Educating the Community One Client at a Time

Kiosk-PosterHere at Marketing Mud we pride ourselves in doing work with clients who help the community and/or the environment.  We believe that this is our way of giving back in return for all that we have received in our lives and our business, and find it truly rewarding.  One recent example of a project that we worked on to help our environment was our work with the University of Florida’s Center for Aquatics and Invasive Plants.  This project was not only exciting because it helps our environment in the end, but it is an ongoing educational project in nature and impacts the entire state of Florida!

Our unique role in this project was to design and print the large panels that were placed at educational kiosks that are stationed at four major boat ramps in Osceola County.  These kiosks are being used to educate citizens about the impact of invasive plants on our environment and our waterways.  The kiosks focus on three main topics: “Do you recognize these plants?” “Why Should We Care?” and “You Can Help!”

For more information about the grant and the studies done for this project, or to contact the Osceola County Public Information office visit:   http://www.osceola.org// and look for the new kiosks on Lake Tohopekaliga at Southport Park and Kissimmee Lakefront Park, East Lake at Ralph V. Chisholm Park, and Lake Kissimmee at the Joe Overstreet Boat Ramp.

Marketing Mud is honored to have been a part of this project that will continue to educate Florida’s citizens about invasive aquatic weeds and their potential threat to the economy and the environment.  Hopefully, our hard work is playing a role in saving our future!
